Whenever possible I like to showcase homegrown video producers who reside in my backyard – Panama.
Man, after you view this video, there should be little doubt the video artists in Panama are “Teching Up”.
The Bad Boys at Colibri Productions are pumping out adrenaline pumping, jaw dropping productions.
In this video they show their prowess with the CINEFLEX V-14, Gyro Stabilized High End, High Definition, Aerial Camera System.
Shooting HD from an air chopping, rotor washing helicopter is no easy task. However, the dudes at Colibri Productions overcome the challenge and turn their captures into an Aerial Symphony.
But don’t take my word for it, click on the start button and see for yourself!
Before you do, pump up the volume and strap yourself in, cuz you’re going on a Joy Ride – Panama style:
Nope, they are not the national soccer or baseball team. And they are not a cheerleader or glee squad.
Affectionately called “Diablo Rojos”, they’re Panama’s Bad Boy, smoke-belching, people moving, bumper car, get-outta-my-way, pimped up retired USA school buses.
And they will soon be going the way of the T Rex.

Editor’s Note:
Meet Ryan Grassley; motorcycle freak, adventurer, explorer, all around good-guy. He also happens to be one badass amateur videographer!
To the best of my knowledge, he’s the first to video document the mystical moods of the Boquete Cloud Forest and it’s twisty, turny mountain passages.
I’ve been checking out his productions for a couple of months now and this guy has talent!
Ryan’s creative implementation of slow motion and dramatic soundtrack are over the top!
Check-in every week as I roll out his new productions and wipe the dust off of his past productions.
I can’t think of a better way to breathe in the raw, natural beauty of the Chiriquí highlands than riding sidekick with Ryan!
Crank up the volume, and if you have the bandwidth, click the 1080p High Definition button, then Buckle Up… you’re going on a wild ride!
Here’s Ryan’s commentary for this video:
Above the mountain village of Boquete, Panama there are some amazing twisty, steep roads. I was very lucky to not be drenched in rain while I was trying to film. I got some great footage of the clouds, roads and forest. I stopped for a while and stood in silence surrounded by a cloud and listened to the silence, mixed with birds chirping. It really is a magical place.
The music for this video was created by Scott Altham. You can hear more of his great tunes on his myspace page here. And on www.ccmixter.org here.
Song: Never Heard A Rhyme Like This Before

It’s been too long since I posted a video – and that’s about to change!
The current roll-out of “video capable”, relatively inexpensive, digital cameras have inspired a new genre of badass, nascent videographers. And Dominic is just one of them.
Sit back, give the video time to load and prepare to immerse your senses in this stunning video production. If you have a really high speed connection, watch this sick video in High Definition and crank up the volume!
